Hello,

I have a wife and 2 children, and we live in Bowie, MD., my Dad just died and we are being evicted out of the house that my mother has been foreclosed upon by Bank of America, we have made several attempts and offers to the bank to somehow make things right so I can keep a roof over my kids head, they told my Mom that she was eligible for a loan modification, and in the process of acquiring the modification the bank continued with the eviction, and now they claim "it's too late, and we have to get out". My kids go to Bowie high school, and they make good grades, we have nowhere to go and this is totally devastating and ripping my family apart. The bank has now taken the property back and had an appraiser to value the house at 276000, they have scheduled an eviction for this week and we need emergency assistance to move into another house right now I guess, unless someone can help or intervene and save us from getting evicted, and work something out so we won't have to move. If that doesn't work out I am asking for help to immediately move into another house in the Bowie area so my kids will not miss school and run the risk of failing. I have a job, but according to Bank of America they will not give me a mortgage loan do to my credit score. All I am asking for is a chance to stay in the house that we live in and not be evicted, or obtain some type of emergency assistance to move into a sizable enough property to accomodate all of our things that we have worked so hard over the years to get. I work very hard, and I'm not one to ask for a handout but I have found myself in a situation that I could not have ever imagined that has me extremely worried about the future well being of my family. I can't hardly keep food in the refrigerator, let alone to even think about trying to survive after being "put on the street" with a family. I do not deserve this, and neither does my family, so if anyone can help me, please give me a call at 562-712-1001.

Thank you, LE

Well, hello  Today is hardest day my family has had. First, I live in ocean city maryland and my husband lost his job here been almost 2 years, I work part time and by part time I mean my company only gives 2 days a week, we are a family of three- husband, me and 12 year old son. At a desperate time, in danger of getting my water cut off- bill is over 100 dollars and i dont know where to get it, that means no cooking, no showers and no tiolet, cant find a agency that can help us, do you know where, My husband and myself have always worked and we worked hard, but leaving in this county, which is worcester is horrible. we are know in danger of losing our house, electric cut off, water cut off,  no food, the only reason we live here is because the schools here are great and we want to give our son the best education we can. I have applied for food stamps and we did get that electric bills which are pending, medical assistance which we do not use because we rarely get sick. This is very depressing, I voted for you guys and gald to have u in office, but what are we supposed to do go to a shelter and mess our sons life up, just have to wait till april to get more hours and that is going to be very hard. Can you please help us with our water bill, that is not asking too much. worked hard all my life and never got any special treatment and i just want to get by. please help us and tell me what to do about this, i dont usually beg but it has know come to this  i can be reached at catettz1@yahoo.com. thank you for taking the time to read this email i really do appreiciate it

I am a single mother of 2.  I find it hard everyday to look at myself everyday knowing I cannot provide my children with the things they deserve.  I have never been big on material things.  I honestly find it absurd for people to live that way.  It is just very disheartening to know my children get ridiculed and picked on for not having the "best" of everything.  I served my Counrty with pride.  I deployed to Iraq for 15 months in which I had to leave my children behind. I had to endure my ex-husband taking off with my children, moving in and marrying another woman while still married to me, not letting me know where they were, draining my bank account dry, and a Chain of Command who just could not find it reasonable to help me in resolving the issues. It is sad that the programs out there to help Veteran's really DO NOT help us.  I may not have served 20 years, but I did serve with pride, committment, and to continue to bring freedom to our Country.  I am not one to beg and plead for a hand out.  I simply do not believe in that.  I do believe in the right to be treated just as all the other Veteran's...regardless of time served!  I am a full-time student. I use my Post 9-11 GI Bill, but am constantly being put behind in my bills because I am always incurring overpayments in which I was not aware of.  How can we as Veterans...Americans get ahead if we are always being held back? I do not qualify for Food Stamps or other public assistance because of the money I make for the housing allowance...which is not enough to live on monthly.  All the money I receive goes to bills to live and shelter my children, but yet the $1500 I make a month is too much for food stamps.  Something has got to give here!  There are so many people who abuse the system and get away with it, but when someone who genuinely needs the help is refused.  If I could work and go to school full-time I would do just that.  I cannot seem to find any employers willing to work around my school schedule!  Then you have the jobs that say they are willing to work around your schedule, but want to pay you wages that is not even worth the gas you drive to get there.  Instead of the Government spending all of its money on helping other countries, it is time for the United States to start focusing on the bigger problem at hand...OUR OWN PEOPLE!  The VA Center in Maryland is horrible.  The doctors are rude and do not seem to care.  There are homeless Vets walking around all the time begging for money, food, or transportation.  I would rather pay out of my pocket and endure high doctor bills than receiving care there.  It is just really an awful sight and incredibly sad.  These are people who served our Country!  There needs to be more programs for Single Mothers and Fathers.  We did not go out seeking to be this way...well I would say majority of us did not intend on being this way!  Action needs to be taken.  I am so tired of hearing things and nothing be done.

Aidpage Open Letter: Mentally retarded abused and no one cares!!!

To the attention of:

Barack Obama, US President;
Martin O'Malley, Governor of Maryland;

All of you who have been elected should hold your heads in shame11 I asked you for help to protect my retarded sister who is 65years old and abused by guardians and their family members.  I wrote to you and included copies of the court papers and the list of abuses. NONE OF YOU EVEN TRIED TO MAKE THOSE IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.  Adult protective services supervisor, Mrs. McLean saw the abuse in the court papers and said in theresponse, "After looking at the abuse I find no reason to investigate."  Mrs. McLean and Mr. Ladd are both morons.  NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING.  The guardians have abuse emotionally, psychologically, physically, and fianncially my mentally retarded sister, who by the way was investigated by Mrs. Cullen of Aers and Dr. Ansil who specializes in the mentally retarded.  Both said under no circumstances should anyone in the family except for Meta's sister Mary Wagner should take care of her because she never worried about Mrs. Wagner hurting her or stealing from her.  Even the States Attorney who received information about Meta's abuse did nothing.  The FBI was right, Maryland is corrupt and it is a shame that the SAPPERSTEINS consider the mentally retarded as worthless as do all the elected officials. The court appointed lawyers to protect Meta Barnett ; however, it was more financially beneficial for them to ignore Meta's rights and protect the abusers.  Tens of thousands of dollars of her inheritance was stolen by Michele Saffran and her husband DanielSaffran along with their family members.  Incompetent judges, Silkworth, Caroom and Paul Harris, heartless unconscienable people.  If there is a lawyer out there who is not owned by Sappersteins or make it more important to protect their good ole boys then send me some help.  Now the new guardian has taken all of the inheritance and wants to put Meta in a Home instead of with me who truely loves Meta. marywagner164@gmail.com
